| The devastated piece of land that was once the home of the Earth Village. Now it is nothing more than a broken landslide. The village is surrounded on mountains from all sides, hiding it's current state from any potential spies. The Earth Villagers come here almost daily in an attempt to scavenge anything that they can find. | |

| Sonya
| It was several days later before Sonya was finally cleared to leave the hospital. She didn't waste any time; she hated it there. She now hobbled into the old abandoned apartment building overrun with vines and weeds where she lived. She held one arm over her still healing ribs, wincing with each step that she took. Finally, she made it to the end of the hallway to her apartment room.
It was much different from the rest of the building, the rooms and hallways alike. It wasn't overgrown with plant life, nor was it falling to pieces. She had taken quite some time in fixing the place up and clearing it out. It was actually quite a nice place to live, much like the apartment would have looked before the earthquake. She had even managed to get running water to the room for showers and cooking. She also had a small amount of electricity that she got from a generator, so she could keep stored supplies fresh in her refrigerator. It wasn't much, but it was her home.
Sonya hobbled over to the living room couch and fell into it. She let out a sharp moan at the sudden bust of pain in her chest, only settling in moments later when the pain vanished. She let out a deep breath and stared up at the ceiling for several moments, before looking around the rest of her apartment aimlessly. Her eyes caught sight of a hand mirror moments later, and she reached for it, so she could look at her reflection, her eyes in particular.
They looked normal again... they were not how she remembered them after the fight that had cost Aimi her life. Perhaps she had just been imagining them like that? That had to be right... they couldn't have just changed for no reason. And yet, as she sat there staring at her eyes in the mirror, she felt them start to tingle a little bit. She squinted, and then suddenly her blue eyes shifted to a bright red hue, with a ring around her pupil, with a single tomoe attached to it. She dropped the mirror almost instantly in shock. What the hell was going on?!
When she went to inspect them in the mirror again, they slowly changed back to blue. She was confused as to why, when she realized that it was because she had stopped a chakra flow that she didn't even realize she had begun. So she did it again, sent chakra to her eyes, and instantly they became the strange red color again. Within moments, she could turn them on and off. After several minutes of this, however, she stopped, starting to get a little freaked out.
She went to her bedroom now, lying down carefully on her bed so she didn't aggravate her ribs. When she turned her head to glance at her nightstand, though, she noticed a framed picture of her and Aimi. It had been taken years ago, and they looked so happy in it. Feeling her throat starting to go numb, she reached for the picture and clutched it to her chest. She started sobbing again, until she finally cried herself to sleep. | Mood: Sorrow Condition: Pain | Stamina: 2 • Speed: 2 • Strength: 1 • Intelligence: 2 • Chakra Control: 1 Ninjutsu: 2 • Taijutsu: 1 • Genjutsu: 2

| Sonya
| Sonya screamed. Nothing in particular, just a loud, shrill, angry, sorrowful scream. At the same time, she upturned her kitchen table, causing plates and glasses to shatter on the floor. She didn't stop there either, proceeding to knock over just about every piece of furniture she had, and break everything fragile enough. She screamed again, and again, and again, accompanied by wet, sticky tears that soaked her face. Never before had she been in a state such as this, and she was barely holding herself together.
This wasn't supposed to happen! None of it was supposed to happen! She wasn't supposed to lose in the finals of the chuunin exams! She was supposed to win! She was supposed to make Aimi happy! She was supposed to honor her dead friend's memory! But, just like she had failed to save Aimi, she had failed in this. That's what she was, nothing but a failure. Even her special Uchiha eyes meant nothing at this point, not when she was doomed to fail at everything. Aimi would never be proud of her. Who could be proud of a failure?
After exerting most of her energy in tearing apart her apartment, Sonya sunk down to the floor and held her knees to her chest. She sobbed uncontrollably, dropping her face into the dark pit between her knees and closing her eyes. "I'm sorry, Aimi... I'm sorry," she uttered. | Mood: Sorrow Condition: Pain | Stamina: 2 • Speed: 3 • Strength: 1 • Intelligence: 2 • Chakra Control: 1 Ninjutsu: 3 • Taijutsu: 2 • Genjutsu: 2
