Character Description

Amazora Animegirlkimono3

Basic Information

Profile Name: Fireflyon
Character Name: Amazora
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Height: 5'6"

Personality: Amazora is the product of the paranoia and nationalism in Iwa. She is secretive to a fault and will often fabricate stories to avoid divulging any personal information, because a shinobi's greatest weapon is deception. She also aspires to return Iwa to "its throne at the top of the world." For the most part, she avoids direct fighting, though not from pacifism -- she merely believes that there are other ways to resolve a conflict. To this extent, she will often choose to lose a battle to avoid revealing her techniques and actual strength. And, while acknowledging the importance of allies, "friends" are kept at a safe, impersonal difference.
Loves: Secrecy, Iwa
Likes: Inclement weather, fireflies
Dislikes: Her real name, distrust, betrayal, sunshine, heat
Relationship Status: Single
Family: Mother, brother

History

To understand Amazora's story, we must recount her father's. Born a man of the Cloud, he was trained from an early age to take on his family's business in mercantile matters. They dealt primarily in weapons -- an often misunderstood career, as merchants of this kind are often embraced by their respective villages during times of war and persecuted during peaceful times, whence their wares may be supplying terrorist sects. It oft takes a skilled eye to keep a business such as this afloat, and, with the greed and lust prominent in the country of the time, many of his rivals mocked his decision to uproot his family and leave the country. However, he managed to avoid the War of the Clouds by a handful of years.

Amazora was fairly young when they relocated to Iwa -- coincidentally, just a year before the earthquake, when such would have been neigh impossible. This, however, is not a happy story. A foreigner, she and her family were under heavy suspicion. Her father could not have foreseen an earthquake when he chose the village for their new home, and so they were trapped among people who labelled them as enemies. His inter-country business stunted by the closed-door policies, but he was able to exploit a number of connections to maintain a humble trade circle among Iwa civilians, raising her brother to eventually inherit the business.

It wasn't easy for the villagers to look upon her father's success without believing that his actions were somehow underhanded. The family came under review -- and they failed to pass. There was "evidence" that her father had violated Iwa law and carried his business transactions over the border, and had possibly sold information to foreign powers. Her father was executed publicly. Although the rest of the family was "technically innocent," Amazora never forgot that her loyalty to the village would always be questioned.

To enter the Ninja Academy, she used a name that was not her own: Amazora. It was overlooked, perhaps a decision on the part of the Council, or perhaps because farmers and blacksmiths from the countryside could always apply to the Academy without proper certification. In any case, her four years were unremarkable. Outperforming a native-born Iwa was a bad idea; additionally, if the village thought her to be a threat, then they would deal swiftly with her. Her deliberate and consistent failures became a smokescreen to her actual level of ability. Where her allies suspected a deeprooted hatred for their way-of-life and culture, none existed; for, as far as Amazora was concerned, the Village Hidden in the Rock was her home, and she'd do anything to defend it.

So I guess it's not legit even if I put it in her history that her family is originally from Kumo?
