| “Alright runts, let's get this started!” Sonya shouted, almost too enthusiastically. The three genin in her supervision just sort of stared at her like she had three heads. They were just running a pizza parlor for a few days, after all, not taking a trip to an amusement park. “Oh come on now, show some enthusiasm. This is our first official mission as a team!”
It had been six months since the incident that took Hachi, Jirobou, and Kana's lives. It had been hard for Sonya to move on, at first, but eventually she got over it. She had to, or else she would have spent the rest of her life wallowing in sorrow... And she wouldn't have been able to continue her shinobi career. So... she had moved on, and kept fighting, like Hachi asked her to. Since then, she'd been promoted to Chief Interrogator, and was even given her own team. This was their first mission together.
“Why can't we do something awesome and exciting...” Shiro, one of her students complained. “I mean this is like actual work...”
“Yeah, this is gonna suck,” Kagura, the only female genin of the group, agreed.
“Ditto,” Kenshin stated, giving their teacher an accusing look.
Sonya placed her hands on her hips and gave them a scowl. Sucking in a deep breath, she paused for a moment, and then in an over the top anime moment, she bent forward and screamed at the top of her lungs, “YOU'LL DO IT AND LIKE IT!” She even managed to make one of the kids' hats fly off his head with the pure power of her yell.
The genin just blinked at her in frightened shock and nodded quickly. “Yes, Sensei!” they said in unison. After that, there were no more complaints... not a lot anyway. And side from a few mishaps with the flour and pizza sauce, the mission went quite smoothly.
