History

Though the Uchiha clan has become incredibly diluted and scattered at this point members eventually tend to pop up here and there that still have the misfortune of possessing the cursed doujutsu known so affectionately as the Sharingan. Sasori managed to be one of the unlucky few who showed the signs.

It was during a particularly heated family feud that her eyes began to change from their standard hazel hue to a much brighter red. Almost instantly all transgressions against her were forgotten as they cheered her on to keep it up and in her confusion she lost all the rage and sadness that had pushed her that far, instantly deactivating the partially formed sharingan.

As it turns out, her family REALLY loves the idea that their daughter could be one of the proud few to bring back the former glory of the Uchiha name though she wants nothing to do with it herself. She was willing to do the ninja academy thing just fine, but does everything in her power to remain calm and collected in order to NOT unleash her latent abilities much to her parents' dismay.

It was on the same day that she was assigned to a team that a terrible accident befell her, severing and destroying both legs halfway up the thigh to a point where even the highest medical ninjutsu could only accomplish preventing her from bleeding to death. It would have seemed at that point that her career as a kunoichi was over before it had even begun, but it was at this point that for once she cared about what her parents wanted. She refused to give up, insisting that she could be a perfectly good shinobi with a decent pair of prosthetic legs.

And so begins her trials...
