History

Not much is known about Susano'o's origins, although it is suspected that his birth was the result of genetic experimentation that fused the genes of Suigetsu and Mangetsu, legends from the infamous Hōzuki Clan. It is difficult to discern what the experimenter's intentions were because the majority of the records were destroyed just before a police raid occurred in the lab, but it is evident that Susano'o received the majority of his training from the facility. He was later adopted by one of the officers conducting the raid (a Yuki Sakura of the Kirigakure Police Corps, who pitied the 6 year old orphan), and entered the Kirigakure Shinobi Corps the following year, excelling with his unusual understanding of taijutsu and the water style. He soon graduated from the academy at the age of 8, and entered the Chuunin Exams the following year, passing by a slim margin in the 3rd year. He rapidly rose through the ranks, becoming a jōnin by the age of 14, and a Seven Swordsman by the age of 16. He now serves his village unquestioningly, although doubts have arisen to the nature of his integrity with his recent acquisition of the legendary blade Samehada, a sword that only obeys those who kill its previous master.
