Genre: Whole bunch of different canons tossed together with an original-setting hub to go from. Stat system allows for complete change to be wrought on the world(s). Fights are done with stats but still RPed out, and even then you can still have non-stat based fights.

Tons of awesome characters that aren't available (namely because you can be just about anyone who isn't already taken), and even then if you're good enough you can get access to more and also self-made characters and such.
