This is the gate that everyone needs to use to get into Konoha legally. There are two guards positions at this gate at all times. In order to enter you needs their approval.

Hyuuga Hiten	It was 4:55 AM and Hiten stood motionless under the main gate of the village, there was no traffic this early and the gate was only opened for him at this early hour because of a request for training. Here he was calm, he could feel each breeze and each whirlwind as the flags overhead fluttered softly. The grass was still wet with morning dew, and the early morning mist had yet to reseed. The Predawn twilight had just started projecting dark shadows all around him. These shadows were both symbolic and real. They represented all the evils in his life. Perhaps there would be a little more light shed on them in the days to come. He'd consulted one of the teachers, and yes it'd been clear that he'd come off as a jerk the day before. Perhaps he could start again? However, first impressions were hard to break. He would show them the world from his view. And hopefully they would see, exactly what it was they really needed to set their minds on. He breathed peacefully and slowly. He was at one with the world around himself. Now all he needed was the arrival of his students.

Hayabusa Enya	Enya slowly made his way out to the village. He had been stopped twice by patrolling shinobi, wondering why someone his age was up this early. It was a valid question. The monks didn't wake up this early! But whatever, he wasn't going to complain. He had a hard time sleeping since lying on his side only made his kidney want to explode. It was still a bit sore from yesterday. As he made his way to the gate he checked his watch. 4:59 AM. Huzzah, he was early by a whole minute. Enya made his way forward, giving a mere not to Hiten as he stopped.

Saki Inuzuka	"Damn it, why so early..." Saki mumbled, dragging her feet along the ground as she struggled to stay awake. She liked training and all, but this was just way to early. It wouldn't be so bad if she hadn't been beaten and exhausted yesterday, all thanks to their stupid sensei. She swore he had it out to make them as miserable as possible. She wouldn't put it past him. Moro scurried behind her, yipping and barking playfully. Moro was a morning person...er, dog. Saki was not. When she finally got to the gate, Saki let out a long yawn leaned against it. "Alright, I'm here, let's get this over with now." She yawned again and rubbed her eyes. Nara Amefurikozō	The young genin waddled to the entrance gates, his eyes shut in extreme fatigue. "Present," was all that he managed to say as he rocked back and forth between the realms of consciousness and sleep. It would be obvious to the others that he was not much of a morning bird; if he appeared lethargic during the training, he no doubt looked quite dead on this particular morning. In his mind's eye, the pitchblack canvas of dawn was a giant pillow that was begging to be slept on... Ugh... He hated mornings...

Hyuuga Hiten	Hiten counted as his students arrived. They did so in succession arriving at the time he'd specified. He hadn't bothered to face them yet. It still wasn't the right time. "Yesterday I asked you all what you fight for and I didn't even give an honest answer to my own question." He turned on one heel. "Duty, Money, Honor, Commitment, Love. It's all worthless on the battlefield. When it comes down to it the only thing that matters is survival. How you and your comrades will live to see the next day." He paused, of course for dramatic effect. Exactly when he did the sun peered rose over the Horizon and peered through the Mist, it's rays cutting the clouds down causing them to dissipate slowly into a beautiful scene, or at least awe inspiring. "I promised myself that every day, I'd live to see the sunrise. There are things that are important to each of us. But making sure the team come back safe is my most important goal." He looked to the three of them, hopefully his message had gotten through. "I was overly harsh on you guys yesterday, I apologize." He admitted, he'd practically got chewed out by his superiors for improper procedure.

Hayabusa Enya	Enya just blinked at Hiten's words. Wait, was he saying what Enya thought he was saying? Or was this some other kind of trick or test that he just didn't understand? Enya didn't know, but he decided to take the high road and assume the best. If they continued to hold grudges, than the team wasn't going to go anywhere. Hiten made the step by apologizing, now the team needed to accept it, move past it, and continue to grow from it. "Well, speaking for myself here. I say apology accepted", Enya said with a tiny smile.

Saki Inuzuka	Saki groaned a little, rubbing the back of her head idly as she let out a deep yawn. "A little? Understatement of the year... You nearly put poor Enya here in the hospital with a ruptured spleen." She sighed, rubbing her eyes and trying to wake herself up. It was too damn early for this. "Whatever though... let's just do whatever we're here to do, and without the friendly fire this time." Nara Amefurikozō	The young genin sighed, "Yeah, what they said. I honestly could care less at this point. Yesterday was yesterday and today is today." After seeing the kunoichi yawn, the young genin yawned as well, not sure what else to do at this point. The way he saw it, the guy was either saying this to let them know that he was going to dumb down the training, or giving it to ease them before amping it up. Strangely enough, despite it being 5 a.m. in the freakin' morning, he preferred the latter.

Hyuuga Hiten	Hiten nodded at their words, they seemed pretty much over what had happened yesterday. Though he knew it still grated on all of them. It was a new day and perhaps a chance at redemption and putting them on the right track. "The First thing I'm going to teach the three of you is an warm up technique called focusing your mind." He sat in front of the three of them and folded his hands. "Through the proper breathing, posture and mental exercise, it's possible to increase one's mental reflexes and chakra control. It also is a great way to awaken the mind in the morning." Hiten would change his posture slightly and start breathing diffrently. "Sit." He ordered, "Fold your hands and cross your legs so you don't figgit. Next comes breathing, breath from the diaphragm. Deep quick breaths. Don't hyperventilate. Next find an object in front of yourself. Anything. Try to grab something stationary. A blade of grass or perhaps a nail or rock. Try to glean every detail from that object. Then try to expand your expand your focus from that object to the surrounding objects, being sure to keep your focus on that object." He wouldn't exactly start yet. As he couldn't speak while meditating. "As you expand your focus you may notice your senses start to cover ranges that they might not have before, seeing into the ultraviolet or infrared, hearing megahertz above or below human average. Smelling new scents on the air. Masters of meditation are said to be able to change control their own sensory input being able to block out pain or focus down to a single spec, scent, or sound that may not be perceptible to the untrained people."

Hayabusa Enya	Enya listened as Hiten told them what exactly they were going to attempt next. Enya was no genius, and this task didn't exactly sound easy to him. Yoga and meditation had never really been his specialties while he was hanging out with the monks at the monastery. Still, he supposed that he'd need to give it a shot. He exhaled a short breath of air before sitting down and grabbing a piece of grass as Hiten suggested.

Saki Inuzuka	Saki gave Hiten a rather puzzled look when he went on to explain his little warm up technique. "Focusing...our mind?" she said, scratching her head. Something told her that this wasn't exactly going to be one of her strengths. But she guessed she had to try anyway, right? So, she waited until he was done explaining and then slowly sat on the ground, not sure what exactly what this was supposed to accomplish. Slowly, she raised her hand. "Um....sensei? What if you already have like super smelling and healing? Is this supposed to increase that too? Because something tells me that would get pretty annoying." It took a great amount of control to focus and control the amazing senses of the Inuzuka, but if they just suddenly got even stronger, which would approach levels never before heard of, she was afraid that her eardrums might explode, or she'd start sneezing uncontrollably and have her nose start bleeding... or something. Hyuuga Hiten	"Good." He nodded. "Keep focusing like that and you'll have it down." He paused and moved over to Saki. "Of course this technique doesn't amplify by using external means. It simply makes you more in tune to your sences, you don't have to worry about bleeding from your eyes, ears or passing out from overload when you touch something very hot or very cold." He then looked over to Ame who didn't want to seem to be joining. "Please Ame, try it."

Gyuki	Gyuki frowned as his sensei spoke, his eyes squinting as he replied, "Meditating is for punks. Sparring is a man's work. I didn't come here to learn how to breath." He frowned as plopped down regardless; after that whole fiasco, the poor genin was not prepared to to undergo another beating, no matter how pointless the exercise appeared. His fingers were interlocked as his body relaxed for the first time in years; he didn't notice any of the fanshy shamcy side effects that Hiten spoke of (most likely because his chakra control was atrocious), but did indeed feel as if his muscles were prepared for more physical activity than they had ever been. He sighed, "You might... be onto something here... Sensei..."

After all, when were you going to get a chance in battle to sit down quietly and stare at an object to raise your awareness? Yeah, never. Regardless, she lifted up Moro into her hands and held her close ,staring at the pup. They had a staring contest for what seemed like ages, before Moro finally yipped and licked her face, causing Sakito giggle. "Hey, we're supposed to be still," she said, giving the fluffy dog a rub on the head.		Moro

Hayabusa Enya	Enya just stared at his piece of grass, for what seemed like minutes on end. Despite his temptation to see what everyone else was doing, he kept his gaze focused upon the grass. He just stared at it, without feeling as if anything was changing at all. Was this really how he was supposed to feel about all of this? He didn't feel anything changing. However, he'd do as he was told, so Enya kept staring at the grass piece as he was told.

Hyuuga Hiten	Hiten looked to each student stepping slowly by them "Good Gyuki-kun." At least one pupil was getting the hang of it. He looked to the other two, Enya was trying too hard. "Relax Enya-san, clear your mind." He paused and looked to Saki as well. "Clear your mind, breath and focus." He paused, and decided to give the meaning for the exercise hopefully it'd help them work on the exercise if they saw it had a useful end. "This technique will allow you to take the day by the horns, it also helps to keep distractions at bay. With enough practice you can focus yourself in the midst of a fight, Perhaps to help break a Genjutsu or shrug off an opponents taunting."
