| Rakdos opened up the scroll that had been given to him, not but an hour ago. He had volunteered for a mission to go and rescue a young girl that had been kidnapped by some bandits. Why was it always bandits? And why were they still dumb enough to try and kidnap people from the villages in order to use them as hostages? Rakdos wasn’t going to criticize a dumb enemy, but he just couldn’t help but wonder why they would do something like that. Regardless, he’d have to get moving pretty quickly. The scroll told him where the enemy was, so he’d have to get a move on before the ransom was sent out. He quickly exited through the village gates, knowing that his skills would be able to help him here.
While Taiga and Gama were in the hospital, Rakdos wasn’t going to let them slow him down. The Mizukage would probably want to wait till everyone was ready to continue, but Rakdos couldn’t afford to wait. There were some kids that had tried to take his life once, and he wasn’t going to let them get the edge on him again. Besides, this kind of mission was not up Gama or Taiga’s abilities. While they were good shinobi that wanted to do well, they had a different direction that they were going to walk. They were warriors, Rakdos was aiming to be a hunter nin. He needed to take on missions that would help him realize his goal and help him be a better shinobi for the village.
As Rakdos approached the camp, he leapt up into a tree in order to not be seen. He wore all black in order to blend in with the night, not being armed with anything but jutsus and fists. He couldn’t risk any weapons making sounds this time, so he left his Da back at home. Hopefully his mother wouldn’t get drunk and attempt to use it to peel carrots or something like that. Rakdos shook that thought out of his mind, not even wanting to consider something like that happening. As he looked upon the scene, he could see two bandits sitting by a fire, dumg enough to not conceal it in the night. That was fine by Rakdos, made his work easier after all.
Rakdos analyzed the scene for a few moments before suddenly sinking backwards into the tree, thanks to his Mayfly technique. It was a useful one the he had picked up, one that he’d now use to get closer to the target goal. He rose up behind one of the bandits, using the enemy’s body to block the other one from seeing it. And within a moment, Rakdos kicked out, sending the man hurtling into the fire, causing his clothes to combust, leading him to scream in pain. The second bandit quickly reached down, aiming to grab some kind of blade, but Rakdos wouldn’t have any of it. He ran forward, punching the man’s wrist before suddenly chopping at his neck, his hands becoming claws.
It was all over within just a few moments, leaving Rakdos and the girl alone. She looked scared, which was understandable. “Come on little one, I’m taking you home”, Rakdos said as he took the girl’s hand in his own.
