Your strength stat determines the maximum amount of different weapons or items that a character can carry at any given time, with the values being as followed:
1: 3 different basic weapons & 1 small weapon
2: 3 different basic weapons & [2 small weapons] or [1 medium weapon]
3: 4 different basic weapons & [3 small weapons & 1 medium weapon] or [2 medium weapons] or [1 large weapon]
4: 4 different basic weapons & [3 small weapons & 2 medium weapons] or [3 small weapons and 1 large weapon] or [3 medium weapons] or [1 small weapon & 1 medium weapon & 1 large weapon]
5: 5 different basic weapons & [4 small weapons & 2 medium weapons] or [3 medium weapons & 2 small weapons] or [2 small weapons & 2 medium weapons & 1 large weapon] or [3 medium weapons & 1 large weapon] or [2 large weapons]
Note: Soldier pills and summoning scrolls are counted under basic weapons in this instance. Remember that summoning scrolls can hold any one medium or large weapon inside, or numerous small/basic weapons.
